Over 30 years ago, Pam Miller envisioned a cats-only shelter in Wake County that was no-kill, high-quality, and relational in its approach to adoptions. Fast forward to 2023, SAFE Haven for Cats has found forever homes for nearly 15,000 cats and kittens. Its spay/neuter clinic will alter over 6,500 cats and dogs this year. Pam’s dedication to animal welfare and the community are seen every day in the faces of healthy and happy animals.
Pam has decided it’s time to pursue other opportunities and all of us wish her the best in this next chapter of her long career in nonprofits. Patti Godin, who has been the Senior Operations Director at SAFE Haven since 2017, has assumed the role of interim executive director; the organization is beginning a search for a Director of Development.
Thank you, Pam, for your vision, your devotion, and your commitment to SAFE Haven. She is definitely for cats, for life.
