Our volunteers make a huge difference for the cats in our care and it’s so nice to see their work recognized. Thanks to your votes, we won Best volunteer Organization in the WRAL Voter’s Choice Awards! 

SAFE Haven volunteers help keep our rescued cats happy, clean and healthy, helping in the shelter with tasks like cleaning litter boxes, event volunteering, adoption counseling and more! All in all, volunteers gave more than 14,000 hours of time last year!

You can make a big difference in one of our kitties’ lives by sponsoring them until their fur-ever home is ready for them. Your donation covers food, care and medical costs during his or her time at SAFE Haven.

While 2020 has been challenging, the holidays may be even more challenging for families who have to choose between filling their pet’s bowl or their own. Help these local families in need by donating during our Holiday Pet Food Pantry Donation Drive-Thru!

Between Monday, December 7, and Friday, December 11, we’ll be accepting pet food donations at the pink tent outside of SAFE Haven. These donations will help us build our stockpile of food in our Pet Food Pantry to feed dogs and cats this holiday season. Founded in 2012 to help feed the dogs and cats of members of our Triangle community, the Pet Food Pantry helps feed hundreds of animals every year.

What we need: sealed and unexpired dog and cat food, especially dry food!
