Veronika came in as a stray at one of our partner municipal shelters with a life-threatening injury. Her injury was severe, covering a majority of her neck and leaving her carotid artery exposed. While we didn’t know the cause, we knew she was in desperate need of immediate medical attention. The county asked SAFE Haven to team up, with us providing medical care for this sweet soul while they focused on finding foster care for the 3 healthy six-week-old kittens with her. Our dedicated veterinary team at the SAFE Care Clinic jumped into action, determined to save her life. Thanks to that outstanding medical care, Veronika is now on the mend after two procedures as she prepares for a wonderful home once she’s ready.
