We’re pleased to welcome Kathleen Weiner, MBA, CFRE, as our new Executive Director. Her extensive experience and deep passion for our mission make her the perfect fit to lead SAFE Haven for Cats into the future.
While we welcome Kathleen, we are also grateful to Patti Godin, who will return to her role as Director of Operations at SAFE Haven. Her interim leadership has been invaluable in helping SAFE Haven stay on course to meet our mission.
Get to Know Kathleen
Kathleen joins SAFE Haven for Cats as an experienced leader with a career that spans a wide range of nonprofits, from healthcare to food banks. She is a strong community and social services professional with a Master of Business Administration from UMass Dartmouth.
Previously, she was the Chief Development Officer at Outer Cape Health Services in Cape Cod, MA. During her tenure, she spearheaded numerous successful initiatives, including renovating and constructing two new clinics and meaningfully expanding donor engagement in the organization’s mission.
With a lengthy background in nonprofit leadership, Kathleen brings a wealth of leadership and development experience and a passionate commitment to the organization’s mission of saving cats’ lives to her new role.
Beyond her time at SAFE Haven, she is excited to be in the Triangle. She is currently building a home in Wake Forest with her husband, Brian, and their cat, Benny. Kathleen is an avid golfer and can be found hitting the links to unwind!
